In line with the National Initiative on SDGs, SDGs support unit has been established in Planning & Development Board, Government of Sindh with effect from May 2017 through partnership between Government of Sindh and UNDP, Pakistan under Mainstreaming, Accelerating, and Policy Support (MAPS) for SDGs Project. The SDG Support unit has been working with Government line departments, as well as UN Agencies, and other stakeholders to provide coordination, monitoring, knowledge and policy support to integrate policies and plans with the 2030 Agenda.

The SDGs Support Unit Sindh is actively undertaking coordination, reporting, and monitoring progress towards SDGs, and providing policy, research, and knowledge management support for SDGs. At the same time, the team is working towards enhanced awareness raising amongst stakeholders about Agenda 2030 and sustainable development goals through engagement using multiple communication activities and tools.
