Working together to achieve Agenda 2030 in Sindh
Establishing the Sindh SDGs Unit within the Planning and Development Department, Sindh exemplifies the Government of Sindh’s commitment to supporting the Agenda 2030. This initiative, aligned with the reforms initiated by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Reform, Government of Pakistan, underscores the government’s dedication to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Specifically, the project works on Mainstreaming, Acceleration & Policy Support – “MAPS” approach based on the following four pillars:
A) Plans, policies, and resource allocation aligned with the 2030 Agenda;
B) SDGs monitoring and reporting strengthened;
C) Financing flows increasingly aligned with the 2030 Agenda; and
D) Innovation and Partnerships: building synergies, implementation of pilots, etc.
