ABOUT US

In line with the National Initiative on SDGs, an SDGs support unit was established in the Planning & Development Board, Government of Sindh, with effect from May 2017 through a partnership between the Government of Sindh and UNDP, Pakistan, under the Mainstreaming, Accelerating, and Policy Support (MAPS) for SDGs Project. Building on the success of the MAPS project, the Government of Sindh kindly approved the SDG Plus Programme Project (2024-2030). SDGs Support Unit is implementing the project in close collaboration with the Planning and Development Board, Government of Sindh, Government line departments, UN Agencies, and other stakeholders to provide coordination, monitoring, knowledge, and policy support to integrate SDGs in policies, plans, budgets, and reporting, etc.

The SDGs Support Unit Sindh is actively undertaking coordination, reporting, and monitoring progress towards SDGs and providing policy, research, and knowledge management support. At the same time, the team is working towards enhanced awareness raising amongst stakeholders about Agenda 2030 and sustainable development goals through engagement using multiple communication activities and tools.
